ABOUT US

 

(N)Skjaervikens is a small Maine Coon cattery based  8 km south of the city Fredrikstad in Norway. The city itself is in the south east of the country, near the sea (Oslofjorden) and with beautiful nature surrounding it.

 

We who are running this cattery are Jan and Grethe Svendsen. We are a couple who have been married for over 30 years. We have 2 grown up sons, and - at last - one grandchild. A beautiful girl called Emilie.

 

We bought our first Maine Coon in 2003 and have not regret it at all...

After a while we got Fellow and there was more to come. Now we have four  and I think that we are not stopping with them...

My husband has set the limit at four cats, but I'm not so sure about that...

 

The cats are treated as loved familymembers and live underfoot with us. They have access to the whole house, and usually where we are they are as well.

 

They have a big outyard in which they love to run around and play, or just lie and watch what happens outside.
